Can We Study the Bible More? |
 In San Pedro, Laguna, seven high school students who previously had little interest in the Bible requested a weekly Bible study—how did that happen? Volunteer values teachers from a community church began teaching the VIC (Values Instruction Class) program in their school. Using the Bible as their VIC Textbook, their hunger to know God’s standards for right and wrong grew to the point that they asked their values teacher to teach them more, stating their willingness to meet after school. Praise God that seemingly these students are well on their way to seeing VOICE’s vision fulfilled: Students rooted in biblical values for personal and national transformation! |

 Those who test taught Kindness & Patience suggested the Patience application song be reworked to make it more sing-able. Since the original composer is no longer available, we considered going to a studio, but the cost would strain our budget…so what now? After the VOICE staff prayed together about this need, God brought Benjie, currently based in Malaysia, to the mind of our Curriculum Assistant, Lot. Before the day ended, Benjie had eagerly incorporated the suggested changes and recorded the new minus one. Who would add the vocal component so that it could be added to our music CD? Benjie’s wife, Erna, quickly volunteered. The question, “How much do we owe you” was answered “No charge—just happy to help.” All was said and done—very professionally—in an exceptionally short time. We are thankful for Benjie and Erna, God’s “musical” instruments, provided as a timely gift. |
